Our Commitment To Privacy
Your
privacy (donors and students/graduates) is important to us. Our students are adults only and to better
protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online and offline
information practices and the choices you can make about the way your
information is collected and used. To
make this notice easy to find, we make it available on our homepage and at
every point where personally identifiable information may be requested.
This
notice applies to all information collected or submitted on the MIGH website
and Educational Platform. On some pages,
you can authorize donations or register for a class, to be paid by credit card
and/or to become an active student of ours and we process that information. The types of personal information collected
at these pages are:
Name
Address
Email address
Phone number
Credit/Debit Card Information, etc.
On
some pages, you can submit information about other people. For example, you can
suggest us to contact someone for a possible donation or to enroll in our
courses and you will need to submit the person's address/phone number. In this circumstance, the types of personal
information collected are:
Name
Address (regular mail and/or e-mail)
Phone Number, etc.
We
use the information you provide about yourself or others only for the specific
purposes you provided us with that information and/or to issue a Certificate of
Completion for you, to inform you about certain MIGH events, new courses,
services or about employment opportunities you may want to know about. We do not share the information you give us
with any outside parties.
You
can register with our website if you would like to receive information from us
even if you have not taken any of our courses or you have not yet donated to
the Institute. Information you submit on
our website or in person will not be used for any other purpose and we do not
sell any of our lists to anybody.
We
use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our website
and/or to share with advertisers. When
preparing our statistical information we never disclose anything that could be
used to identify those individuals. In
order to have a video/audio testimonial about our courses or ancillary services
we have to have a written consent signed by the person on that testimonial.
Finally,
we never use or share the personally identifiable information provided to us
online or in person in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also
providing you an opportunity to opt-out or otherwise prohibit such unrelated
uses.
Our Commitment To Data Security
To
prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use
of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and
managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online
or in person.
How You Can Access Or Correct Your Information
Our
students can access all their personally identifiable information that we collect
on our Educational Platform, or you can call or write us asking for a change to
be made to that information. You will
have to prove that you are you for us to make any changes, but we cannot
release any information in our database that you previously entered. We use this procedure to better safeguard
your information.
You
can correct factual errors in your personally identifiable information either
doing it yourself (electronically) or by sending us a request that credibly
shows error.
Therefore to protect your privacy
and security, we will also take reasonable steps to verify your identity before
granting access or making corrections.
