I attend the Mexican Institute of
Greater Houston it is an awesome program proved by the government to help
p0or people or people in poverty achieve their goals. To become the region’s
premier collaborator in delivering Computer Technology Educational Services
for our underserved families. To help Hispanic, Asian, and African American
parents through education – become effective leaders of their families and
their communities, as well as better skilled members of the work force. Our
successful and innovative programs address individual adult Hispanics,
African Americans and Asians basic computer related educational needs. We
improve the region’s workforce by teaching our students (parents) new skills
so that they can use computers, better supervise their children’s Internet
usage and help them with homework. It is important to emphasize that most of
our students are members of the workforce. We now offer training in English
and Spanish, responding to requests received from the African-American and
Asian communities, and also the English speaking Hispanic Community. MIGH
targets these vulnerable populations and LEP (Limited English Proficiency)
individuals, low income, unemployed, and senior citizens. MY

MIGH Moving
Forward with Technology MIGH offers educational programs in
Spanish and English that benefit the Hispanic, African American, and Asian
communities of the region. Our
programs are categorized as promoters of Parental Involvement as they are
designed to assist parents understand the educational system in the US, to
help them help their children, and to further their own education. Through our Community Learning Centers
(CLCs) network, offered at schools, community development and faith based
organizations, MIGH reaches those individuals genuinely interested in solid
prosperity. Our programs increase their
educational level using readily available computer technology focused on
addressing their need to improve: education, awareness about opportunities to
generate progress and produce wealth, training, computer equipment and
broadband access. MIGH provides support to vulnerable populations to generate
economic growth and job creation. Our core program, the Basic Computer
Literacy Course is taught in English and Spanish. Our programs primarily
serve parents and grandparents (80% women/20% men) of school-age children
Kindergarten-through-Grade-12 (K-12). Our Basic course is a 100-hour
classroom instruction typically given over 16 weeks by an MIGH trained
instructor, supported by our online tutors. It is a proven educational program
teaching successful skills and strategies that increase student engagement
improving their outcomes. Our course is an in-depth learning experience not
just a short overview of the material and individual needs. MIGH program
provides working knowledge to qualify our students to find better paying

Our students gain important
information from organizations that provide basic guidance on various topics,
including basic financial issues, domestic violence, health, as well as the
rights and responsibilities of parents who have children in one of the school
districts in the state of Texas. This information is presented by means of
lectures, which are of great benefit and are applicable to everyday life in
the United States. The four lectures include information, discussion and
